Post 626 is proud to field a Missouri Military Funeral Honors Team, certified by the Missouri Army National Guard. They are on hand to render honors at Veterans Funerals most of the year. This dedicated team is the hardest working group of Legionnaires you will find at any Post.

and the members you find here do many other things with and for the Post. If you can help lighten the load by becoming involved, even on a part time basis or task specific need, please contact the Team Captain through the Post. It doesn’t take a lot to help the cause.

Post 626 is proud to have an Honor Guard to represent our Post at public ceremonies, parades and other formal events where we represent the American Legion in the public’s eye. However, our most important function is to render Full Military Honors at the funerals of veterans. Not all American Legion Posts have this privilege. The Honor Guard must first be “certified” by a representative of the MO Adjutant General’s Office after demonstrating that they can perform the “Honors” in accordance with the Arlington National Cemetery Standard. The only asset we are currently in need of is YOU! We would be pleased to have you join us.
